The unique central console is divided into five sections, within which are located key functions. The console then extends into the cabin via three illuminated strips which inform passengers of the current mode of hybrid propulsion. This lighting system is complemented by sound effects that accompany certain driver actions and indicate deployment of the airfoils. A suspended head restraint and electric adjustment of the steering wheel and aluminium pedal assembly optimise the driver’s line of view, while maintaining passenger space in the rear.

The elegant design lines of the C-Métisse, the latest out-of-this-world concept car from Citroën, will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show later this month. Exceptionally stylish and powerful, the C-Métisse proves that a high performance car can also be green, combining a top speed of 155mph with the ability to cover around 45 miles per gallon.

The design lines of C-Métisse also reflect the quest for outstanding aerodynamics, delivering improved fuel economy and lower pollutant emissions while also integrating the latest technological developments. Positioned either side of the double chevron badge on the radiator grille, the headlamps are equipped with a row of LEDs that light up progressively, depending on the steering-wheel angle and vehicle speed. This feature ensures excellent lighting when driving on winding roads by night. At the same time, the Michelin tyres with their central wheel nuts contribute to the sporting character of the coupé. More specifically, the development of these tyres was integrated with the vehicle design process, in order to optimise resistance to air and thus contribute to the vehicle’s excellent drag coefficient (Cd of 0.30).

A high-spec vehicle, C-Métisse also places considerable emphasis on passenger comfort. The vast cabin features three exceptionally comfy seats upholstered in white leather. C-MÉTISSE, NEW EMOTIONS AND DRIVING SENSATIONS Everything about C-Métisse identifies it as a car to stir the soul. Its elegant proportions and flowing lines embody a harmonious design with a promise of power. The fascinating opening mechanism of the doors makes the observer want to step on board. The driving pleasure and comfort of the driver and three passengers are ensured by the premium materials used in cabin design, the exceptionally comfy individual seats and the sophisticated in-car technology. A coupé of elegant design. Looking at C-Métisse is a visual shock in itself. Long (4.74 m), wide (2 m) and low (1.24 m), the car is sculptural and almost intimidating. It demands immediate respect. However, far from creating a sense of distance between the onlooker and the car, this respect is mingled with an irresistible appeal, an absolute attraction. Whether we’re looking at the rear wheel arches, the bonnet or even the boot, an astonishing sensuality is reflected in the car’s curving, sleekly muscled volumes. The seduction of C-Métisse is also expressed through a sense of latent power. Even when stationary, the body suggests movement. With its very long bonnet and virtually inexistent rear overhang, C-Métisse brings to mind the design balance of vehicles seen during the golden age of Grand Touring.

I think this design car citroen c-metisse concept car is futuris car for future. because this car is elegant design modern.

clasicc car steam-powered

this classic car steam powered is beautiful futuristic design. Want a futuristic car that could possibly drive as at 150 MPH (241 KPH) but what powers this car? fuel cells? high octane petrol? maybe just regular unleaded petrol? what about steam? barely used since the wide spread use of oil, well this speed demon runs on good old steam. This odd vehicle was part of the British Steam Car Challenge, it’s powered by four boilers that give this babies turbine come serious pressure. Enough to power this car across the Utah Salt Flats at speed in excess of 155 MPH (241 KPH), until this thing become widely available I’ll stick to my old steam powered car.

Flying cars for future

By now I was fully expecting that we would all be driving flying cars. You can imagine my disappointment. The Terrafugia Transition flying car isn’t exactly what I had in mind, but it’s better than nothing. The car can be driven around on the roads like a normal, though slightly odd looking. When you hit a runway or other long flat area, though, you can flip out those 27 foot wings and you are ready to take to the friendly skies. The car will have about the same fuel efficiency as a Honda Accord – in the range of 30 mpg. When you are airborne you will be able to fly at speeds up to 130 mph, which obviously isn’t jet speed, but is much better than driving in a traffic jam. The Transition will begin selling in 2009. Presumably the market for such a vehicle would be very small, and the $148,000 price tag makes it even smaller. If you want one you can reserve it just by putting 5% down.

Zero maintenance with 24 wheels : Cadillac WTF

i think car cadilac is cool because this car concept use for future. Here’s one hell of a conceptual design: the Cadillac World Thorium Fuel concept. Otherwise known as the Cadillac WTF. It was created by Loren Kulesus. Everything about the aptly named WTF has been created to last for 100 years without maintenance. That’s the reason for the element number ninety, thorium: to act as a nuclear fuel powering batteries that would power this beast. Also, every major system is redundant just in case of a failure. Even the wheels are covered and shouldn’t give you much trouble. The wheels don’t have individual tires. In fact, what you get is one combined unit made up of six individual wheels. That gives you 24 wheels in all, and each wheel has its own induction motor just for good measure. According to the creator, “The vehicle would require the tires to be adjusted every five years, but no material would need to be added or subtracted.”

Proxima rides at you like a car, zips off like a motorcycle

You'd probably think the Proxima is a car if you saw it from the front, or a motorcycle — albeit an odd-looking one — from the rear. You'd be right, both times. A concept by Alvino Design, the Proxima is a two-seater that successfully blends two different vehicle styles. Chances are, if you love motorcycles the Proxima won't provide the same thrill, but anyone into odd vehicle concepts or just sleek body stylings besides should be able to appreciate the Proxima's elegant tapering from one vehicle and into another.

New The One-Seat Eco Vehicle

The personal eco-vehicle from Myers Motors was featured at the ‘Milan 2008: Best of the well-tech awards’ and is most definitely worthy of it. The odd looking one-seater called the ‘NmG’ (no more gas) runs on electricity and can reach a speed of 75mph. It can easily be parked anywhere, helps us breathe cleaner air, turns heads and does not need petrol. Indeed-This little car can transform our planet.

Caprice Phantom Donk

Caprice Phantom Donkcar caprice phantom donk design

We went to SEMA expecting to see off-the-wall vehicles. We prepared for months, but nothing could have prepared us for this: the Phantom Caprice, or a 1972 Chevrolet Caprice riding on 30-inch wheels and snouted with a Rolls-Royce Phantom front clip. It's a well-done DONK (typically an American sedan from the 60s, 70s, or 80s with oversized tires), which itself is a bit of an oxymoron; Donks are typically characterized by shoddy construction. This one, however, looks relatively sanitary on the outside.

Concept Car : Nissan Land Glider

Concept Car : Nissan Land Glider
Concept Car : Nissan Land Glider

A unique two-seater Nissan Land Glider Concept power comes from two electric motors in the rear powered by lithium-ion batteries mounted beneath the floor. The Nissan Land Glider Concept features a non-contact charging system that can be charged whilst shopping at a supermarket or stopping at a motorway service station. This system enables vehicles to be charged wirelessly at locations where the infrastructure exists.
Described as a ‘personal city commuter,’ the Nissan Land Glider Concept features steering-by-wire and a lean capability when cornering – like a motorcycle – that enables the vehicle and its tires to lean by up to 17 degrees. To ensure maximum safety whilst driving, engineers have fitted a car-robotics style crash avoidance system in which sensors mounted in the body detect other vehicles in the same way as fish swim in schools without colliding.
